TSB Verified™ mark

LICENSING & MARK USE

Use the Mark Within Its Approved Scope

The license applies to the exact product and claims in its Public Verification Record. The terms below explain permitted use, changes that must be reported, annual renewal, and what happens when a license ends.

THE LICENSE GRANT

Product-Specific
Limited. Revocable

Effective August 28, 2026

Subject to payment, activation, and continuing compliance, The Skincare Bureau® grants the licensee a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicensable, revocable license to use the TSB Verified™ mark during the stated term for the exact product and approved claim scope identified in the licensing record.

The license does not extend to the brand as a whole, another product, size or formula variation not included in the record, an affiliated company, a private-label customer, or any unlisted claim. No ownership interest in the mark is transferred.

THE PUBLIC RECORD CONTROLSIf advertising, packaging, or other materials could reasonably imply a broader meaning than the public record, the use is not authorized.

MARK USE REQUIREMENTS

Use the Mark to Identify the Record

The mark must remain connected to the exact claims reviewed. It cannot be used as a general product endorsement or safety representation.

AUTHORIZED

Required Use

  • Use only official artwork supplied or approved by the Bureau.
  • Maintain legibility, clear space, proportions, and approved colors.
  • Use the mark only on the licensed product and its product-specific marketing.
  • Where reasonably possible in digital use, link the mark to the current Public Verification Record.
  • Use claim language that remains consistent with the approved scope.
  • Include the ™ symbol and attribution when directed by the current artwork guide.
NOT AUTHORIZED

Prohibited Use

  • No use before activation or after expiration, suspension, or termination.
  • No use on another product, variant, kit, brand, company, or unlicensed market.
  • No alteration, redrawing, recoloring, animation, cropping, distortion, or combination with another symbol.
  • No implication that the product is safe, non-toxic, clinically proven, regulator-approved, or certified as a whole.
  • No use in a product name, company name, domain, social handle, certification name, or trademark filing.
  • No statement that the Bureau endorses, recommends, manufactures, sponsors, or guarantees the product.

ACCOMPANYING LANGUAGE

Say Exactly What the Mark Means

PREFERRED

“Specific eligible claims independently reviewed by The Skincare Bureau®. View the product’s Public Verification Record.”

AVOID

“The product is certified safe,” “Bureau approved,” “non-toxic certified,” or any wording that applies TSB Verified™ to the product as a whole.

The Bureau may require a correction, qualifier, link, disclosure, or change in placement when surrounding language or design creates a broader impression.

REPORTABLE CHANGES

A Current Mark Requires a Current Record

Notify the Bureau before continued mark use when a change could affect the approved claims, underlying documentation, or consumer understanding.

BEFORE ANNUAL RENEWAL

Confirm Before Renewal

Before renewal, the Bureau sends an annual review notice asking the brand to confirm whether the formula or INCI, ingredient suppliers, verified claims, certifications, label, packaging, website, ownership, or applicable marketing has changed.

If continued eligibility is confirmed, the annual licensing fee is charged to the authorized payment method and the record continues for another annual term. Reported material changes may require updated documentation, additional review, or a new verification before renewal can proceed.

If the annual review is incomplete by expiration, licensing, mark authorization, and active Directory status lapse. Reinstatement may be requested within 60 days. After 60 days, a new verification application and review fee are required.

SUSPENSION & END OF TERM

Permission Ends When the License Ends

01

Stop New Use

On expiration, suspension, revocation, or termination, the licensee must immediately stop creating, printing, publishing, or distributing new materials bearing the mark.

02

Remove Digital Use

The mark must be removed from websites, retailer listings, advertising, social content, and other controllable digital uses within five business days unless the Bureau specifies a shorter period.

03

Existing Inventory

Sale or distribution of existing marked inventory after the license ends requires prior written transition approval. Approval may be conditioned, limited, or denied.

The Bureau may suspend or terminate permission for nonpayment, inaccurate submissions, material changes, expired supporting certifications, unauthorized use, failure to correct, legal concerns, or conduct that could mislead consumers or compromise program integrity. These licensing rules supplement the Terms & Conditions; if a separately signed agreement conflicts, the signed agreement controls.
